Day 1: Amritsar to Jammu (Approx. 200 km / 5–6 hrs)

Your journey to the majestic Himalayas begins from Amritsar, as you drive toward Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir. The road winds through hills, small towns, and river crossings. Upon reaching Jammu, check into your hotel and relax after your road trip. You can spend your evening visiting Raghunath Temple or strolling in the local markets. Overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 2: Jammu to Srinagar (Approx. 270 km / 8–9 hrs)

After an early breakfast, depart for the charming city of Srinagar. The scenic journey will take you through Udhampur, Patnitop, and Banihal Tunnel, eventually leading you into the breathtaking Kashmir Valley. On arrival in Srinagar, check into a hotel or houseboat. Enjoy a tranquil shikara ride on Dal Lake in the evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 3: Srinagar to Kargil (Approx. 220 km / 7–8 hrs)

Post breakfast, drive toward Kargil, passing through some of Kashmir’s most scenic spots like Sonamarg and the thrilling Zoji La Pass. On the way, stop at Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, and visit the revered Kargil War Memorial. By evening, arrive in Kargil and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Day 4: Kargil to Leh (Approx. 220 km / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, set out for Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Enjoy the surreal landscapes as you pass Mulbekh Monastery, Lamayuru Moonland, and Alchi Monastery. Also, witness the Indus–Zanskar confluence, Magnetic Hill, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Reach Leh by evening, check-in, and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5: Leh Local Sightseeing & Acclimatization

Use this day for acclimatization and exploring local attractions in and around Leh. Visit the Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and Hall of Fame museum. In the afternoon, take a short drive to Thiksey and Hemis monasteries, two of the most significant in Ladakh. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Approx. 125 km / 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, get ready for a thrilling ride to Nubra Valley, crossing the mighty Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Upon reaching Diskit, visit the Diskit Monastery and explore the sand dunes of Hunder, where you can enjoy a double-hump camel ride. Overnight stay in a Nubra Valley camp or guesthouse.

Day 7: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

Leave Nubra after breakfast and drive toward the magical Pangong Lake via Shyok River route. As you arrive, witness the unbelievable shades of blue across the lake set against rugged mountains. Spend your evening walking by the lakeside or relaxing at your lakeside camp. Overnight stay in Pangong.

Day 8: Pangong to Leh via Chang La Pass (Approx. 150 km / 5–6 hrs)

Wake up early to catch the surreal sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin your drive back to Leh via the scenic Chang La Pass, another high-altitude mountain crossing. Stop for photos and tea at Chang La before continuing to Leh. Spend your evening shopping for souvenirs or resting. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 9: Leh to Jammu (By Flight or Road – Optional Halt En Route)

Depending on your travel plan, either board a flight from Leh to Jammu (recommended for comfort and time) or begin your return drive toward Jammu with a night halt at Kargil or Srinagar depending on your preference. Overnight stay en route or in Jammu.

Day 10: Jammu to Amritsar – Departure (Approx. 200 km / 5–6 hrs)

Conclude your Leh Ladakh Adventure by driving back to Amritsar. Take back with you beautiful memories of mountain passes, monasteries, sacred valleys, and unforgettable Himalayan landscapes.
