Pathankot to Katra with Srinagar Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Pathankot – Transfer to Katra (Approx. 120 km / 3–4 hrs)
Upon arrival at Pathankot Railway Station or Airport, our representative will receive you and assist with the transfer to Katra, the base camp for the sacred Vaishno Devi Yatra. Once you reach Katra, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can explore the local market or prepare for your trek. Overnight stay at the hotel in Katra.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Temple Darshan
Early morning, begin your trek to the holy Vaishno Devi Shrine, located around 13 km uphill. You can either walk, hire ponies or take helicopter services (subject to availability). Spend some spiritual time at the temple and return to Katra by evening. After a long and fulfilling day, relax at your hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Katra to Srinagar (Approx. 240 km / 7–8 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive toward Srinagar – the heart of Kashmir Valley, known for its mesmerizing beauty, lakes, and gardens. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or houseboat. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake and admire the floating gardens and local life. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Explore the beautiful Tulip Garden (seasonal), the historic Shankaracharya Temple, and the vibrant local markets. In the evening, return to your hotel or houseboat for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 5: Excursion to Gulmarg (Approx. 50 km / 2 hrs one way)
After breakfast, take a day trip to Gulmarg – a picturesque hill station known for its lush meadows and snow-capped peaks. Enjoy a ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, which offers breathtaking views. You can also indulge in activities like snowboarding or skiing (seasonal). Return to Srinagar by evening and rest at your hotel.
Day 6: Excursion to Sonmarg or Pahalgam (Optional Day Trip)
Today, you can choose between visiting Sonmarg, the “Meadow of Gold,” or Pahalgam, the “Valley of Shepherds.” Both locations offer beautiful landscapes, flowing rivers, and peaceful vibes. In Sonmarg, you can explore glaciers and go for pony rides, while Pahalgam offers riverside walks and film shooting spots. Return to Srinagar by evening for your overnight stay.
Day 7: Srinagar to Pathankot Departure (Approx. 300 km / 9–10 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Pathankot for your onward journey. Enjoy the scenic route filled with charming valleys, pine forests, and glimpses of mountain life. Upon arrival in Pathankot, you will be dropped at the railway station or airport, concluding your spiritual and scenic journey.
