From Devotion to Discovery: Pathankot to Vaishno Devi & Kashmir
Day 1: Arrival at Pathankot – Drive to Katra (Approx. 90 km / 2.5–3 hrs)
Begin your spiritual and scenic journey with an arrival at Pathankot. From here, drive toward Katra, the base town for Vaishno Devi Temple. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, prepare yourself for the spiritual trek the following day or enjoy a peaceful walk in the local market. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Darshan
Early in the morning, start your yatra (trek) to the sacred Vaishno Devi Shrine, located 13 km uphill. You can choose to walk, hire ponies, or use helicopter services (optional and based on availability). After darshan and blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi, descend back to Katra. Return to the hotel and rest after the divine experience. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 3: Katra to Srinagar (Approx. 250 km / 7–8 hrs)
After breakfast and checkout, begin your scenic road journey to Srinagar, the crown jewel of Kashmir. Enjoy the changing landscape from plains to lush valleys and river-side roads. Upon arrival in Srinagar by evening, check into your hotel or houseboat. You can enjoy a peaceful shikara ride on Dal Lake if time permits. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
Post breakfast, explore the serene beauty and heritage of Srinagar. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Also visit the Shankaracharya Temple and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Later, take a traditional shikara ride on Dal Lake amidst lotus blooms and floating markets. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 5: Day Trip to Gulmarg (Approx. 50 km / 2 hrs one way)
After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Gulmarg, the "Meadow of Flowers." Known for its snow-covered slopes and world’s highest golf course, Gulmarg offers a stunning experience. Don’t miss the Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak for majestic snow views and optional snow activities. Return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 6: Srinagar to Pahalgam (Approx. 90 km / 2.5–3 hrs)
Check out and drive to Pahalgam, a picturesque retreat known as the "Valley of Shepherds." En route, visit saffron fields in Pampore and the ruins of Awantipora. On arrival, explore Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, or go for a horse ride along the Lidder River. Spend a peaceful evening surrounded by mountains. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 7: Pahalgam to Pathankot (Approx. 290 km / 8–9 hrs)
After breakfast, begin your return drive to Pathankot, concluding your tour with memories of spiritual peace and Kashmir’s breathtaking landscapes. Drop at Pathankot by evening with a heart full of unforgettable experiences.
